Field Hockey Clinic

 

Fall Field Hockey Clinics 

 

The Garden City Athletic Association will once again offer a Field Hockey clinic for all girls in the 4th through 8th grades. The clinic will take place on Sunday afternoons from 4p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on the High School turf field. The clinic will run every Sunday from September 14th through October 26th. There will not be a session on October 12th. As in the past the clinic will be conducted with the help of the Garden City High School Varsity Field Hockey players. The cost is $35 and the application can be found at the www.gc-aa.com. Junior Field Hockey League

 

The Garden City Athletic Association invites girls in the 5th and 6th grade to participate in the Long Island Field Hockey Association (LIFHA) Junior Field Hockey League. Games will be played on Sundays at either noon or 1:15 p.m. and will require some travel. Home games are played at the Garden City High School on the turf field. Opening day will be Sunday October 5th from 9:00am – 12 noon at Adelphi University on the new stadium turf field.  The season consists of four additional games and runs from October 12 through November 2nd.   

 

Participation requires that players become members of the USFHA and pay a league fee to LIFHA. Total cost to participate is approximately $80. LIFHA will provide T-shirts, mouth guard and officials. As LIFHA is currently preparing schedules, we are asking that all player registrations be submitted no later than Wednesday, September 17th.  Please get your paperwork in early spots are limited.
